Gayle grew up in Cannock and saw a lot of her clinical practice locally. She graduated from the Vet School at the University of Cambridge in 2002 and then completed an internship and residency at the Royal Veterinary College before moving back to the Midlands to do a PhD in horse's hearts at the University of Nottingham. She worked at the University for 15 years being based in different clinical practices including Scarsdale and the Army Hospital at Melton. She is a diplomate in Internal Medicine, Emergency and Critical Care, Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation and an Associate Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging. She loves seeing heart and respiratory cases, gastro-intestinal cases and eye cases. Out of work her love of animals continues - she has lots of pets that include Paddington, a black labrador, Hugo, an Egyptian mau cat, Basil, an african grey and a small flock of chickens (Celia, Virginia, Mary Beth and JoAnn). She loves nothing more than walking Paddington, taking photographs and pottering in her garden.
