Regina Pereira

Graduated from University of Porto (Portugal) in 2014, Regina completed an internship at Sycamore Lodge Equine Hospital in Kildare (Ireland) in 2016, followed by another internship in 2018 at Sussex Equine Hospital in West Sussex (UK).

After a few months of locum work, Regina then started as a first opinion ambulatory vet at Pool House Equine Hospital. In 2020, She started a 4-year residency programme in equine internal medicine with Nottingham University and Pool House Equine Hospital. She obtained her Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice in Equine Medicine in 2021.

Regina enjoys all aspects of both ambulatory and hospital work, but her main clinical interests include gastrointestinal disease, ophthalmology and, emergency and critical care. These are now a big part of her daily practice as equine practitioner and equine medicine resident, and has become one of her main areas of interest within equine internal medicine.

In her free time Regina enjoys yoga, reading and travelling.
