Jonathan Withers

Jonathan Withers is our surgical consultant and clinical director. Jonathan is the clinic’s chief surgeon having completed a four year residency in Equine Surgery at both Glasgow University and the Bell Equine Clinic and heads our highly successful emergency colic surgery team. He holds the European Diploma in Equine Surgery – being the highest qualification in equine surgery available.

Jonathan became a partner in the practice in 2015. He is qualified to operate the practice’s Hallmarq MRI system. Jonathon has previously spent a four year term at Pool House when he obtained his RCVS Certificate in Equine Practice and has also travelled to Australia every year to gain further experience of equine AI, natural covering and ET techniques with Eric Klaui of the Flying Dutchman Practice.
