Gastric Health Awareness Week - 6th to 10th October 2025

Pool House Equine is running a Gastric Health awareness week, offering our very popular Gastroscope clinic at a discounted price of £200.00 available at the hospital or at your yard for three or more horses.

Our team of Medicine Specialists can come to you!

Includes:

  • Overnight admission to the hospital to aid starving included (if at the hospital)
  • Sedation included
  • General Health Discussion and trot up

Some of the possible symptoms of Equine Gastric Disease could be:

  • Poor Performance
  • Wind sucking
  • Lying down
  • Colic
  • Dull coat
  • Change in temperament to be handled
  • Change in ridden behaviour
  • Poor Body condition
  • Reduced appetite
  • Girthy

The only method of diagnosis is by preforming a Gastroscope where a camera is passed into the horses stomach via the nostril under sedation.
